Most ERP vendors offer ERP solutions for Mining, but is there such a thing as a single ERP solution that solves the issues of an entire industry, especially one as complex as mining?

One of the biggest mistakes that mining corporations, and businesses in general, can make in today's technology driven climate, is to accept blanket ERP solutions.

It's like trying to squeeze a watermelon into a small cup. Keep forcing it in and you'll end up with nothing but a messy pulp.

Every company is different. They compete in different markets, have a different target audience, and need solutions that support the different verticals they play in. No one solution can ever fit all.
